Our United Methodist Men’s Fellowship held our annual retreat during the weekend of March 13-15.  For the past 14 years we have consistently held an annual retreat, and like the previous 13 retreats, we held this year’s retreat at the Black Rock Retreat Center in Quarryille PA (Lancaster County).  About 20 of us traveled to Black Rock and spent the weekend in a time of serious reflection, prayer, worship, and- well- fun. Praise Band Concert @ PUMC to Support Mexican Church (3/22/15)

For years, our church (along with several other local UMC churches) has been supporting a United Methodist Church in La Palmilla, Mexico.  This growing congregation has been struggling to build a new sanctuary that will enable them to further their ministries in this poor region of Mexico.  Later this year, a missions team will travel to Mexico to assist in their construction efforts. Last summer, the “Ice Bucket” challenge raised milllions of dollars to fight ALS.  In the same Spirit,  former PUMC Associate Pastor Peter Jamieson (who is now the Pastor at Asbury UMC in Egg Harbor) has been challenging area churches (and even the bishop) to raise 250 pounds of food to be donated to a local  food pantry.
