For years, our church (along with several other local UMC churches) has been supporting a United Methodist Church in La Palmilla, Mexico. This growing congregation has been struggling to build a new sanctuary that will enable them to further their ministries in this poor region of Mexico. Later this year, a missions team will travel to Mexico to assist in their construction efforts.
On Sunday March 22 our church will host a Silent Auction and Praise Band Concert to raise funds for this effort (a love offering will be taken during the concert).
The silent auction starts at 5:15 PM and the concert begins at 6:00 PM. Bands from PUMC, Mantua UMC, Trinity UMC (Mullica Hill) and Richwood UMC will lead the worship.
This was originally scheduled for Saturday February 21, but we had to postpone it due to a snow storm.
