Membership Class Opens (10/20/24)
A new Small Group is about to begin. It’s called a “Membership Class”, but it’s for anyone who wants to know more abut the United Methodist Church or to know more about the people of PUMC. If you’re new to the church, it will be a great way to meet Pastor Mike and some of the PUMC friends that you don’t know yet. If you want to become an “official member” of PUMC, this class is a requirement.

On Sunday 7/7/24 we welcomed Pastor Mike Chapman and his family to our PUMC family. Pastor Mike’s first sermon urged us to “Speak Jesus”; we are called to be a light that shows Jesus to our community. After the service, the celebration continued with a covered dish lunch.

PUMC is part of the “Greater NJ Annual Conference” of the United Methodist Church. Once a year, representatives from each church gather to approve legislation, celebrate accomplishments, and to worship and to prepare for upcoming opportunities. The conference was held in Wildwood between May 19-21.

As part of an Eagle Scout project, a PUMC member built some cabinets for the Nursery and then called on his Youth Group friends to paint the cabinets. Not only was it an important service to the church, it was a memorable time of fellowship for our Youth Group.

The 2020 conference of the Greater NJ Annual Conference was conducted using two online sessions on the mornings of 10/5 and 10/6. Despite the “social distancing”, Courageous strides were made in our efforts to be the heart, hands, and feet of God in Greater New Jersey.
