Joy grew up in Mullica Hill, the daughter of a Methodist minister. She currently works for World Global Missions at Tenwek Community Health and Development in Kenya, the largest hospital in Africa. Tenwek’s mission is to serve Christ by promoting change through healthcare and development within needy communities.
Joy has worked in Africa with World Gospel Mission for over 20 years. She recently made a transition from her comfortable life at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya to working in Sudan. The political situation, extreme poverty and low level of infrastructure make this a very challenging place to minister. It’s her prayer that you will learn more about Sudan, what God is doing in the midst of the challenges and help pray for transformation.
