2017 Vacation Bible School Explores Our Maker’s Fun Factory! (6/26/17)
We are wonderfully and fearfully made. This year’s Vacation Bible School took us to the “Maker’s Fun Factory” to remind us that we are lovingly crafted by God, and to explore what that means in our lives.

It demands that we turn the page on our calendar. But when that first day comes in the month of April, it takes on a special meaning: April Fools Day! Now, that’s not a religious holiday. We just wrapped up the season of Lent and celebrated the wonder of Easter. We celebrate these Holy Days...

On a beautiful Summer morning, you need to spend some quality time with family, friends (and “church family”)… and, it’s an extra bonus if you can enjoy some of the great outdoors and taste some of God’s creation at the same time! That’s what a group of us did on Saturday 8/1/15. About 15 of us (all ages) traveled to Parvin State Park, rented canoes or kayaks, and spent some time on the lake (yes- none of our boaters spent any time IN the lake!). We got...

Read MoreWhat an Awesome God! (8/3/14)
Pastor Jim’s sermon on Sunday August 3 posed the question, “what is awesome?” We throw around that word so much that we allow it to describe almost anything. Could it be that our trivial regard of God’s True AWESOMENESS has led us to regard God in our own limited terms? Could it be that the God who created the universe is actually awesome enough to care about us? Here’s the audio recording (from the 11:00 service). You can listen to the sermon while following...

Several other local pastors took part in the reading of litany and scripture. The Presbyterian Church’s bell choir led the music. The scripture readings focused on God’s protective and life giving...

Praise the Lord! Make that phrase more than just a cliche… We are constantly blessed by the beautiful Stained Glass Windows that line the upper walls of our sanctuary. At ground level, near the staircase, we also have clear windows that let in natural lighting. During the 11:00 service on Sunday Dec. 8, these plain clear windows reminded us of God’s majesty in a way that the Stained Glass windows never could. About half way through the service, we were treated to a view of the...
