Praise Band Concert @ PUMC to Support Mexican Church (3/22/15)
For years, our church (along with several other local UMC churches) has been supporting a United Methodist Church in La Palmilla, Mexico. This growing congregation has been struggling to build a new sanctuary that will enable them to further their ministries in this poor region of Mexico. Later this year, a missions team will travel to Mexico to assist in their construction efforts. Pitman was a hub of activity on Saturday September 20 as it held its bi-annual Craft Show. Broadway was closed off as vendors lined the sidewalk with tents filled with their artistic wares. Our church was also busy! Broadway, Pitman’s main street is blocked off, and vendors set up their wares on both sides of the street. There is some parking on the streets around Broadway, but finding a spot is difficult.
