Men Rake Up! (11/14/15)

The Men of our church got the chance to get together on Saturday for two seemingly different activities.   First we gathered at the church for a Bible study on Romans chapter 1.  After that, we “gathered” at a local park to rake leaves. The leaf raking was our participation in Pitman’s “Clean Communities” project in which civic and church groups work to clean up an assigned roadway or piece of land.  For us, money earned from this morning of work helps pay for our...

Global Missionaries Send Updates and Request Prayers (11/14/15)

Christmas is one of the most holy and anticipated times of the year for Christians all around the world. Similar preparations and traditions, decorations, celebrations, music, worship observances, the giving of gifts, and gathering of families and friends; all of these rituals that mark this important event in the life of our faith are replicated by Christians everywhere. Our church supports many missionaries who have left the United States to live in countries around the world.  They bring...

PUMC Celebrates 130th Anniversary with a Special Sunday (11/1/15)

Hey!  it’s the Fall, almost Halloween, and the days are getting crisper and cooler.  Apple cider and pumpkins are drawing us to the great out of doors.  And- Hey!  Hay somehow gives us a special feel for this time of year.
