Our Father’s House’s September Success! (10/1/14)

Each month, the Our Father’s House preschool is featuring a verse of the month and providing opportunities for the kids to live out the verse by participating in mission projects.

During September, the verse was I John 3:23-24…

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
NIV

OFH 9-2014 Cereal Pantry _IMG_0992September’s mission project was to collect boxes of cereal to be donated to the Pitman Food Pantry. A table was placed near the entrance of OFH, and the parents and students of Our Father’s House collected  76 Boxes of cereal!  This cereal will help feed the many needy families who visit the Pantry each week.

Even in a seemingly simple act of giving a box of cereal, the children were able to understand the truth of the verse which says to “love one another.”

In October, the children will learn another verse and put it into action with another mission project.
