Wasn’t it just the Fourth of July?

Well, it’s not summer anymore and we’re nearing the wonderful time of the Christmas season.  For the past few Thursdays,  the Voices in Praise choir has begun to rehearse some of the pieces that will make up our 2014 Christmas cantata.  Cantata rehearsals continue to ramp up throughout the month.

If you’re interested in joining with the choir to sing in this year’s cantata, drop by on Thursday night. Rehearsals start at 7:00 PM

The Heart of Christmas

This year’s candlelight cantata is entitled the “Heart of Christmas”, and it will feature some familiar hymns and praise choruses.  There will be some new songs, but most of the songs will come from our collection of favorites and “greatest hits” from previous cantatas.

Please mark the date:

  • Sunday December 21
  • 4:15 PM (this has continued to be the traditional time for our annual cantata).

Singing is Fun!

Being in the choir is like being among family; we’re sharing in the fellowship of music and of praising our God.  And, we enjoy spending time with each other!  Most years, during the last rehearsal of October, we wear our crazy hats and afterwards enjoy some goodies (pies, fruit salads, chocolates, cookies, cider, etc…).  Below are a few of our members wearing their crazy hats during our rehearsal on October 30.  No, we won’t look quite like this during the cantata…
