If you’re in the church on a Saturday morning and you wander around the 2nd floor of the Education Wing, you might run into a bunch of ladies with needles. No, we’re not dangerous. You’ll find us sitting around in a circle in the Gathering Room, quilting.
Far from being dangerous, we’re working on projects to bring a bit of God’s love into a needy life.
Who are we ??? We’re the Scrappy Quilters!!!
We meet in the Gathering Room on the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 to design and make quilts. Our name was chosen because we use donated material and kits to make quilts. The quilts fill many needs. For example, we give quilts to each girl at Victory House on their birthday.
Victory House is a home for girls sponsored by Ranch Hope.
The picture shows our latest quilt and the many different techniques that were used to complete it.
If you enjoy sewing and would like to learn how to quilt, join us at our next scheduled meeting on Saturday, September 12th, in the Gathering Room (enter the Narthex main door, head up the stairs to your left- or take the elevator. You’ll find us about half way down the hall on the left).
For any questions, please contact Helen Scaletti.
