2016 Vacation Bible School Leads us out of Out of a Cave! (6/27 – 7/1)
Caves… they’re dark, scary, and they’re easy to get lost in. They’re also a perfect metaphor for the stretches of life where there seems to be no hope.
Thanks to the work of the Holy Spirit (and some faithful human hands), our 2016 Vacation Bible School was a huge success! Kids of all ages learned how to depend on the Light of the World to get through our “caves.”

For 146 years, Christians have gathered in the “Pitman Grove” to hear the word of God and to worship our Creator and Savior. This year’s season of the Pitman Camp Meeting is already underway and will continue throughout the summer on Sunday evenings. The services are held at 7:30 p.m. in the William (Bud) Moore Auditorium located in the center of the Grove area, and are lead by various pastors and music teams from the Methodist Churches in the area. Summer is a great time, and all of us look forward to the change of pace and vacations. Our Youth Group (BLAST) is especially looking forward to some special times at the Malaga Camp this summer. The “problem” is that these camps are kind of expensive.
Not being one to sit around without flushing out the problem, BLAST is raising scholarship money by working as plumbers!
