PUMC has developed a tradition of eating at Friendlys to help raise funds for our missions. Helping feed others by eating out?!? Yep! The restaurant donates a portion of everyone’s bill to our church (if you present a voucher when ordering). And PUMC people love to eat! Redbird mission is special Conference of the United Methodist Church which is dedicated to serving the poor in Appalachia. For many years, our church has sent mission teams into that area to help repair homes. In recent years, our efforts have transitioned into a partnership with Red Bird Mission. In 2013, a team from our church traveled to Kentucky to serve with Redbird. One year later, our congregation raised over $3600 to support Redbird’s ministry.
