During the planning and construction of our church building (which opened in 2007), we recognized that we have a responsibility to serve our community by sharing our facilities. PUMC frequently serves as a “community center” which is available for people outside of our church.
Next month, our Fellowship Hall will be used as a voting location.
Today, our Fellowship Hall was used by Gloucester County to administer flu shots. The Department of Health has scheduled 36 Flu Immunization Clinics to be held between October through December at a variety of locations throughout Gloucester County. Today the clinic was held at our church between 9:00 and 10:30 AM.
Officials anticipated that nearly 400 people would be immunized during the 1 1/2 hour clinic. The process is smooth, and only takes about 15 minutes. And it really doesn’t hurt… that much. These clinics are free, but they are open only to residents of Gloucester County (a driver’s license or other proof of residence is required). To save time, you can download the consent (registration) form and fill it out ahead of time.
