It has been a while since I have listened to a chapel service from Eastern University, but with Micah attending, I find myself listening in on their weekly services. Recently, while listening online to Rev. Joe Modica he said to the students,
“the events that took place on Holy Week are the events that make us Christians and who we are.“
I find it to be so true, which is why, I am so adamant that Jesus be the focus of us as Christians. Paul would say in Romans 1:16,
“I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of salvation to all that believe!”
There are some things that we disagree about, but there is one thing that we should all agree upon as Christians, Jesus is Lord!
Easter celebrations are over but the victory of the resurrection lives with us daily. This past month, we have an opportunity to remind ourselves that we are fighting a battle that is already won in Jesus. Jesus has conquered the grave and now as we put our trust in him we know that there is grace already for tomorrow.
SALVATION through Jesus Christ is nothing to be ashamed about and gives us eternal life. Let us not be ashamed of the name Jesus in a world that needs him so badly. The church cannot solve all the problems of the world, but I know a Savior that can, and his name is JESUS.
