PUMC is helping to provide a lifetime experience to a group of students from Italy who are visiting the USA on a Summer Exchange program. For the next three weeks, these students will meet in one of our classrooms to learn English as part of a program called “ESL: Thinking Globally.”
The programs are sponsored by Greenheart Exchange, a nonprofit organization which helps students from across the globe to visit the USA and to experience our culture and language. What better way to learn a foreign language than to be immersed in it?
John Wesley has famously been quoted as saying that “The World is my Parish”. In the same way, PUMC wants to make a difference for people across the globe, even if it’s only by offering a meeting space for a few hours during a hot summer day.
