Just before Easter Sunday 2016, the following message was posted on our Church’s Signboard:
Experience the Sonrise Every Day! |

Sunrise…
If it’s a clear morning, we might be able to experience the Sun Rise, but the Son of God is risen every day!

Sunrise on the Sea of Galilee
Have you ever seen a sunrise, or sunset, or rainbow, or some other view of God’s beautiful creation without “Experiencing” it? Can you see a sunrise and just walk away without noticing? Revelations like these usually make a lasting impact. You tell your friends about it. You take a picture. You might even join all of your other friends who posted the same sunrise on facebook. When nature publishes a new work of beauty, it causes a stir.
Son Rise
But what about the Sonrise? Is the miracle of Christ’s resurrection just something you recognize as a historical fact (accepted on faith)? Or has it changed you? We begin every morning with the truth that Jesus died and rose from the dead to restore our relationship with God. You don’t have to wait until Easter morning for the beauty of that Sonrise! Does it constantly make a lasting impact on you?
God’s Promises
The rainbow is God’s way of promising that He won’t again flood the earth. It’s also a reminder of His continual presence and love. Every time we see one, we can marvel not only at the beauty of creation, but also at the glory of God.
But in the SON Rise, God has made some powerful promises in His Word…
You can’t drive by a rainbow and simply check it off as a natural phenomenon. Rainbows, Sunsets, and Sunrises all leave a lasting impact. You don’t just see them; you Experience them.
When you think of Easter, what makes an impact? What parts of Easter do your “Experience”? What parts get chalked up to tradition and get packed away for next year?
In His rainbow- and even more in His Son Rise, God has promised forgiveness, relationship, and true Life in Him.
Have you experienced God’s magnificent gift of His SON Rise???
