Trunk or Treat Opens Glimmers of Light! (10/24/20)
Because of the pandemic, our annual Trunk or Treat was held as a “socially distanced” drive-thru event. Throughout the afternoon, about 400 people enjoyed the decorated trunks, friendly waves, and… bags of candy.

Because of the pandemic, we were unable to hold a graduation ceremony for our preschool class of 2020. So, we formed a parade and drove to each child’s neighborhood! With sirens waling and horns honking, we congratulated our Pre-K grads by giving them a personalized lawn sign. Congratulations class of 2020!

The leader will be Pastor George DeVol, and he will lead a study on the book of Matthew- “Following the Master.” George led our retreat in 2018, and we are enthused to have him back. The retreat will be on April 24 through 26 at the Black Rock Retreat Center in Quarryville, PA.

The misty drizzle cleared up, and we were able to celebrate our 10th annual Easter Egg Hunt without a hitch. About 400 of our neighbors came out as we celebrated family. Hot dogs, Magic by Ed, and- of course- Easter Eggs made the day a huge success.

The Men’s Fellowship group will hold their 2019 retreat on the weekend of March 15-18. The retreat speaker will be Pastor Matt Murphy, who led our retreat a couple of years ago. Pastor Matt will build on his introduction by taking us to where “the rubber meets the road” and showing us how to fulfill the mission to which God is calling us.
