2026 Camp Meeting Brings Summer Evenings of Praise and Worship (7/12/26)

First UMC of Glassboro will open the 2026 Pitman Camp Meeting services on Sunday July 12 (7:30 PM in the Pitman Grove Auditorium). This series of 7 summer evenings will feature a different speaker and host church each week. PUMC will host the service on Sunday August 9.

Sermon in Song to Make Father’s Day Special (6/21/26)

Singer/Songwriter Mark Cable will lead us in worship on 6/21/26. He will be our guest speaker/singer during the 10:15 AM service. This Father’s Day “Sermon in Song” will inspire us to live for Christ in the real world and look for God continuously throughout all of the mountains and valleys of life.

Pastor’s Ponderings: Awaken to Grace (May 2026)

A question we must all ask ourselves every day: “What am I seeking above all else today?” Jesus told us to seek the Kingdom of God above all else; to look for God’s activity (grace) in our lives and to encourage others in that search.
When we look for other things instead, we’re missing out on the underserved gifts that God wants us to have.

2026 Vacation Bible School Explores God’s Nature! (6/22/26)

The word Nature conjures up images of mountains, sunsets, and flowers. The earth and everything God created is beautiful, but God Himself is beautiful too! During the week of 6/22/26, this year’s Vacation Bible School will take us to “Rainforest Falls” to learn more about God and who He is.

2026 Easter Egg Hunt (4/4/26)

For the 17th year, kids of all ages are invited to grace the PUMC grounds to search for hidden treasure…. the Easter Egg Hunt is on! It will be held on Saturday 4/4/26, starting at 11:00 AM. Just as we cradle broken eggs as we scoop them up, Jesus wants to heal our brokenness and hold us in His eternal love.

PUMC Responds to First Responders (4/21/26)

The church isn’t a building or organization; it is a family of people who are part of our community. The people of PUMC appreciate the First Responders who give so much of their time and talents to keep us safe. So we’re holding a free dinner to express our appreciation.

Afternoon Worship Service Begins (1/11/25)

On Sunday 1/11/26, PUMC is starting a second worship service which will be held in the afternoon (4:00 PM). If you can’t attend the 10:15 Sunday Morning service, the 4:00 PM Sunday Afternoon service provides a second option.

2026 Men’s Retreat To Put on The Armor of God (2/20/26)

The 24th Annual Men’s Retreat is ready. Accommodations at the Black Rock Retreat Center have been booked, and the Men will gather on the weekend of Feb. 20-22, 2026. This year, we will be blessed to have Pastor Mike lead our sessions, and we will consider “The Armor of God.”

2025 Advent Devotionals (December 2025)

At the end of November 2025, booklets containing devotionals for each day during the Advent 2025 season were distributed. The printed copies of these booklets are available in PUMC’s narthex (and in other churches). The articles are also presented in PDF format in this website post.

Fall has arrived, and the change of season reminds us of God’s amazing creation and of His faithfulness.
So we celebrated! On 10/25/25 PUMC held its annual Trunk or Treat.

Keep Your Guitar in Tune

The Psalms tell us to “Sing a new Song”… to “play skillfully and shout with joy!” But even if you can’t play a musical instrument or sing anything on key, we are called to “sing” using all of the abilities that God gives us. Learn how to strengthen those abilities and to “keep them in tune” to be ready to serve and worship God.
