On Sunday March 9, we began a new sermon series based on the devotional “Forty days of Fruitful Living- Practicing a Life of Grace,” written by Robert Schnanse.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

During the five Sundays in Lent we are looking at five disciplines, or practices that we can develop in order to grow into a life of grace. The five practices are:<\/span><\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Radical Hospitality<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Passionate Worship<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Intentional Faith Development<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Risk-Taking Mission and Service<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Extravagant Generosity<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Like an athlete honing his or her skills and developing muscle memory, none of these practices happens automatically.\u00a0 We must intentionally partner with the Holy Spirit in order to grow spiritually.<\/span><\/p>\n

    “Christianity is a way of life; not a system of beliefs<\/em>.”\u00a0<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n

    Devotionals<\/span><\/h4>\n

    In addition to the sermons, devotional books have been made available to the congregation for use during this Lenten season.\u00a0 The books provide five weeks of daily devotions, and each article follows up on the theme introduced by that week’s sermon.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Small Groups<\/span><\/h4>\n

    Small groups will meet during the Tuesday Study Series<\/span><\/a>,<\/span><\/span> and we will share our insights into the devotional articles and into the sermon.\u00a0 Both the “Endurance” and Potter’s Hand adult small groups are studying this\u00a0 series.
