\"Christmas<\/a>The season of Advent is a gift from God.\u00a0 It’s a special time of the year when families, friends, and churches across dominations join together to celebrate the incarnation… the wonder that somehow God became human and walked this earth in the Person of Jesus.<\/span><\/address>\n

And yet, sometimes we get so bogged down in the parties, shopping and “things we have to do” that we miss the wonder.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/address>\n

\u00a0<\/address>\n
And so this year we offer an opportunity to Slow Down.\u00a0 Plug into the activities that will help you connect with God in this season of Wonder.\"Sanctuary<\/span><\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
We’re all busy; even at PUMC we will be busy with a lot of activities this Advent Season.\u00a0 We offer different activities because God speaks to each of us in a way meant just for us.\u00a0 But slowing down doesn’t mean dropping out.\u00a0 Slow down and look for Christ!\u00a0 Our events are places where you might find Christ.\u00a0 Not everything is tuned for everyone.\u00a0 Pray and consider where God may be leading you to spend your precious time this season.<\/span><\/address>\n

THURSDAY 12\/10: OUR FATHER'S HOUSE PAGEANT<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
The kids from our preschool<\/a><\/span> (Our Father’s House) will present their Christmas Pageant in the sanctuary at 10:15.\u00a0 \u00a0 All are welcome!\u00a0 Come out to enjoy the innocent enthusiasm of our 2-4 year olds. \u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

SUNDAY 12\/13: WORSHIP SERVICES<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
During our 9:30 and 11:00 worship services on this third Sunday in\u00a0 Advent, we will light the 3rd candle in our Advent Wreath: Joy<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 The Youth will be leading the services this week.<\/p>\n

And during the 11:00 Service the 4 year olds from Our Father’s House<\/a> will present their Christmas program.\u00a0 Be inspired by these enthusiastic kids.\u00a0 Worship will NOT be “boring!” (see pastor Jim’s 11\/8 sermon<\/a><\/span>).<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

SUNDAY 12\/13: CANTATA<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
At 4:15 our choirs<\/a><\/span> will present our annual Christmas Cantata.\u00a0 This year’s cantata, “A Light Still Shines<\/span><\/em><\/strong>” is a collection of familiar carols and contemporary music which the modern day miracle of ancient origin.\u00a0\u00a0 More Info<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

WEDNESDAY 12\/16: MIDDLE SCHOOL CONCERT<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
At 11:30 AM The Pitman Middle School Chorus (led by our own Sue Crispin) will present a concert in our sanctuary.\u00a0 All invited to the concert.\u00a0 Afterwards, our seniors<\/a><\/span> group will have lunch in the Fellowship Hall (please sign up on sheet in Narthex for the Elderberries lunch).\u00a0<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

THURSDAY 12\/17: FRIENDLYS FUNDRAISER<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
Between 5 and 8PM we will hold our final “Funraiser” of the year at the Glassboro Friendlys.\u00a0 Eat at Friendlys and they will donate 20% of the bill to our church.\u00a0 More Info<\/a><\/span> \u00a0<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

SATURDAY 12\/19: NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME SINGERS<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
At 5:15 The “Not Ready for Prime Time Singers<\/a><\/span>” will meet for dinner and then visit our shut ins.\u00a0 Celebrate the arrival of Christ by sharing with those who are often forgotten.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

During our 9:30 and 11:00 worship services on this fourth Sunday in\u00a0 Advent, we will light the 4th candle in our Advent Wreath: Peace<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

SUNDAY 12\/20: WHITE GIFT \/ BIRTHDAY PARTY<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
During our 9:30 worship service our Sunday Schools will participate in a special “Pastor’s Pals” and then present their “white gift” boxes\u00a0 to support the “love your neighbor” fund.\u00a0 After the pastors pals the Sunday school kids will make their way upstairs to the gathering room where we will have our birthday party for Jesus. We will be doing a craft, maybe a story, and will have cake and sing happy birthday.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

SUNDAY 12\/20: GLOUCESTER COUNTY CHILDREN'S CHOIR<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
At 4:00 PM the Gloucester County Children’s Choir will present their winter concert in our sanctuary. \u00a0<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

SUNDAY 12\/20: BLAST CHRISTMAS PARTY<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t
