The Men’s Fellowship Group will hold our monthly gathering on Saturday Nov. 14.\u00a0 The gathering runs from 7:30 AM until 9:00 AM.\u00a0 After the gathering we will “gather” at Cedar & Alcyon Blvd. to rake some leaves as part of the town’s “clean communities” program….\u00a0<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n

Gathering in the Church…<\/span><\/h3>\n

At 7:30 AM we will get together in the Potter’s Hand room for an hour of Bible Study.\u00a0 Our guest speaker will be \"UMM<\/a>Ryan Falkenberg.\u00a0 Ryan is a Youth Pastor and intern at Joy Community Fellowship (Pitman).<\/p>\n

In 2008 he started with a group of friends and has continued to teach high school students; helping them to grow in the Word and in faith in Jesus Christ.\u00a0 He considers working with the Youth to be his joy and passion.<\/p>\n

Gathering in the Leaves….<\/span><\/h3>\n

After the gathering, at 9:00 AM, we will meet at the “lost lake run<\/a><\/span>” which is at the corner of Cedar Ave and Alcyon Blvd. in Pitman.\u00a0 This is a familiar spot to our group; we’ve beautified this corner twice in the past few years.\u00a0 Since we\u00a0 \"UMM<\/a>were there last the leaves continued to fall, and so we’re needed again!\u00a0 We need to pick up trash and rake leaves and return this “lost lake” back\u00a0 into the oasis of beauty that it deserves to be.<\/p>\n

Rakes, gloves, and other equipment will be supplied, but feel free to bring your own tools is you want.<\/p>\n

We’re doing this, not only out of service to the community, but also as a way to raise money for our retreat scholarships and speakers.\u00a0 Our participation is all part of the town’s clean communities program, and we will be paid if we supply a certain number of people for a specified time.<\/p>\n

Not only is it worth some money to us, and not only does it clean up our town, but this effort also gives us a chance to get to know eachother better.\u00a0 Spending a few hours with someone raking leaves is a surprisingly good way to build friendships.<\/p>\n

So remember the Men’s Fellowship Group on Saturday Nov. 14.\u00a0 Drop by the church at 7:30 for a Bible Study, and stop by the “Lost Lake Run” to help us clean up and to bolster some friendships.<\/p>\n
