Pizza!!!!<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

On the second Saturday of every month in the year (except in the months named July and August), a group of men get together to laugh, drink coffee, eat donuts… and share in some informal Bible study.\u00a0 The “informal Bible study” is usually lead by an outside speaker who gives us a fresh perspective on how we can live and grow in our Christian walk as men.<\/p>\n

Our fellowship gatherings are normally held at 7:30 AM in the Potter’s Hand room (balcony level behind the sanctuary).<\/span><\/p>\n

Why so early?!?\u00a0 Well, we’re only there for an hour or so (definitely wrap up by 9AM), and having the gathering so early gives us the rest of our Saturday to do whatever we need to get done on Saturday.<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n

Now that July and August are almost past, we’re gearing up to resuming our “Fellowship Gatherings.”\u00a0 We’re doing \"UMM<\/a>this by holding a special “Kickoff” gathering in the evening (instead of the usual morning time).\u00a0 We’ve scheduled our ’15-’16 Kickoff for Saturday September 12 at 6:00 PM<\/span>.\u00a0 Yep- PM!\u00a0 And instead of coffee and donuts, we’ll have some Pepsi and Pizza!<\/p>\n

Our guest speaker will be the Rev. Larry Oksten,\u00a0 pastor of the First UMC<\/a><\/span> in Glassboro.<\/p>\n

\"Larrybeach\"<\/a>Pastor Larry\u00a0 is a dynamic speaker with a deep passion for Christ.\u00a0 Getting to “where\u00a0 the rubber meets the road,” he frequently refers to himself as “Pastor Blue Jeans.”<\/p>\n

He grew up in Paulsboro, graduated from St. James High School in Carneys Point, and went on to graduate from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Palmer).\u00a0 Last year he finished his doctorate.\u00a0 He and his wife Ginny have two sons.<\/p>\n

…And probably a little “Pizzazz” too!\u00a0 Plan on “gathering” with us on the 12th for a special time of learning and laughter, and consider continuing into the year as we gather on Saturday mornings.<\/p>\n
