{"id":7620,"date":"2015-06-20T19:15:31","date_gmt":"2015-06-20T23:15:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=7620"},"modified":"2015-07-03T16:40:19","modified_gmt":"2015-07-03T20:40:19","slug":"no-camouflage-clothing-61415","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=7620","title":{"rendered":"No Camouflage Clothing (6\/14\/15)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pastor Jim&#8217;s sermon on June 14 was from Romans 12:1-2<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.\u00a0 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.<\/span> <\/em><\/span><br \/>\nNKJV<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-7620-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Sermon-2015-06-14b-No-Camouflage-Clothing-by-Pastor-Jim-Bolton-6kbs-mono_BAK.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Sermon-2015-06-14b-No-Camouflage-Clothing-by-Pastor-Jim-Bolton-6kbs-mono_BAK.mp3\">https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Sermon-2015-06-14b-No-Camouflage-Clothing-by-Pastor-Jim-Bolton-6kbs-mono_BAK.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Does the rest of the crowd wear you down?\u00a0 How do we keep from being worn down, despite our best efforts?<\/p>\n<p>Do we have the kind of faith that can believe truth even if it means you&#8217;re against the whole world?\u00a0 Even if it means that your life or freedom might be threatened?\u00a0 Only true believers are willing to stay committed to the Truth and ways of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Many people are trying to live life with one foot in the Gospel and one in the World.\u00a0 Some say &#8220;I know that the Bible\u00a0 says, but___&#8221;\u00a0 We can either sell out for Christ or sell our for the world.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">It&#8217;s not a problem when a boat is in the water.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">The problem is when the water gets into the boat.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Christ is looking for people willing to stand up and be counted.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #333300;\">Present your bodies to the Lord<\/span><\/strong> (continual commitment).\u00a0 Be there through thick and thin.\u00a0 Our bodies are the home of the Spirit.\u00a0 Be committed to God to be filled with the Holy Spirit.<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Renew our Minds.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 &#8220;A blank mind is the devil&#8217;s playground.&#8221;\u00a0 The body will go where the head tells it, so what are we filling our minds with?\u00a0 Fill your minds with the things of God.\u00a0 Read the bible.\u00a0 Dwell on praiseworthy things.
