(6\/22\/15)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Let&#8217;s Get Mooooovin&#8217;\u00a0 to Nazareth!<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This year&#8217;s Vacation Bible School is underway!\u00a0 We&#8217;re on our way to Nazareth to see what it was like for Jesus growing up.<\/p>\n<div class='et-box et-info'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='et-box-content'><ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Dates:<\/strong>\u00a0 Monday June 22 through Friday June 26.\u00a0 <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Time:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 6:00 to 8:00 PM, opening with a time of worship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Place:<\/strong>\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000000;\">At our<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?page_id=609\" target=\"_blank\">church<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> (older kids will move to an offsite pool).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>Friday will feature an Ice Cream social following the closing program.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Here are a few details of Jesus&#8217; boyhood life, but history does tell us a lot about life in Nazareth during Jesus&#8217; time, and during VBS we&#8217;re getting a sense of what it may have been like to grow up in Nazareth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\t\t<div class='et-image-slider et_sliderfx_slide et_sliderauto_true et_sliderauto_speed_5000 et_slidertype_images'>\n\t\t\t<div Details&#8230;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><em>This year&#8217;s trip to Nazareth includes kids from nursery through 6th grade.\u00a0 The 5th and 6th graders are going to a pool while the younger kids are meeting at the church.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s the itinerary for each evening&#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000080;\">6:00 PM- Opening Celebration<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Everyone starts out in the sanctuary with a big kick off celebration- songs and an intro into what we are going to experience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000080;\">6:30&#8217;ish- Visit Nazareth<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><em>After the celebration time, we split up into classes and visit various places in Nazareth.\u00a0 During this time of learning, the classes rotate through each station.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what we&#8217;re seeing and doing&#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<div class='tabs-left et_sliderfx_fade et_sliderauto_false et_sliderauto_speed_5000 et_slidertype_left_tabs clearfix'>\n\t\t\t\t<div class='et_left_tabs_bg'><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<ul class='et-tabs-control'>\n\t\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tMary&#8217;s House\n\t\t<\/a><\/li> \n\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tFun &#8216;n Games\n\t\t<\/a><\/li> \n\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tShops\n\t\t<\/a><\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul> <!-- .et-tabs-control --><\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t<div class='et-tabs-content'>\n\t\t\t<div class='et-tabs-content-main-wrap'>\n\t\t\t\t<div class='et-tabs-content-wrapper'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\tWe&#8217;ll visit with Mary and listen to her story of what&#8217;s going on in Nazareth.\n\t\t<\/div><\/p>\n\n\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\tWe&#8217;ll experience modern games that will take us back to Bible times&#8211;such as making wine by squishing grapes (in this case water balloons) with our feet.\u00a0\n\t\t<\/div>\n<p>\n\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\tWe&#8217;ll head out to the shops to make crafts and experience life in Bible times.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the shops we&#8217;re visiting:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>The olive oil shop: We&#8217;ll make oil scrubs,<\/li>\n<li>The dye shop:\u00a0 Let&#8217;s dye some fabric!<\/li>\n<li>The carpenter shop:\u00a0 What it was like to create items using wood.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div> <!-- .tabs-left -->\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000080;\">7:15&#8217;ish-\u00a0 Travel Debriefing<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>After everyone&#8217;s had a chance to visit each section, we return to the sanctuary for a lesson about how God loves us and takes away our sins. \u00a0 During these age appropriate, tactile lessons we&#8217;re staying in our class groups.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000080;\">7:45&#8217;ish- Closing Celebration<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>After everyone finishes the lesson we close out with more celebration.\u00a0 We talk about what we experienced that day, and then we wrap up the evening with some more singing and God Sightings (seeing God everywhere).\u00a0 The closing celebration ends at 8:00 PM.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">How do I Sign
