Starting with Ash Wednesday (on February 18), we left the season of Epiphany and entered the season of Lent.\u00a0 If you start with the Saturday before Easter and count backwards 40 days (not including Sundays), you’ll land on Ash Wednesday<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n

\"Banner-Lent<\/a>Lent is the 40 day (less Sundays) period between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday.\u00a0 It’s a time for introspection and repentance.\u00a0 A time to look at our sin, God’s holiness, and to appreciate the value of Jesus’ death on the cross.<\/p>\n

During the season of Lent, we will have many opportunities at PUMC designed to help us prepare for Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n

You can’t experience Easter without first going through Good Friday<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Lenten Sermon Series<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Not Ready for Prime Time Singers<\/span><\/h3>\n

    United Methodist Men’s Retreat<\/span><\/h3>\n

    March 13-15<\/strong>
