“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up” (NIV).<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

PLEASE READ: Ephesians 6:18<\/p>\n

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints” (NIV).<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers” (NIV).<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One of the great things about the Christian faith is that God invites us to be in daily conversation with Him. While so many other faiths present a deity who is distant from their pilgrims, the Christian faith presents a God who longs for a growing relationship with each of us. We grow through the reading of God’s holy Scriptures, through participation in worship, through service, and through a conversation called “prayer.”<\/p>\n

\"Sign-<\/a>Let’s pause and honestly consider something: Do we take advantage of this marvelous invitation of God to be in conversation with Him? Think about it, God desires for us to tell Him all that is on our hearts and minds while at the same time allowing us to hear a word from Him each time we pray! That is awesome!<\/p>\n

I continually stand amazed at how often this spiritual privilege is ignored or not taken seriously. Many offer weak excuses such as they “are too busy” to cultivate an active prayer life with God.<\/p>\n

Yet as we carefully read holy Scripture we see that Jesus was a man of prayer:<\/p>\n
