The Scrappy Quilters is an outreach ministry of PUMC whose members use their sewing talents to reach people in need of a special touch.<\/p>\n

During our worship services on Sunday November 9, the altar table (and even the piano!) were covered with quilts and afghans.\u00a0 These were made by our Scrappy Quilters, and they will be donated to women who are victims of domestic\u00a0 violence.<\/p>\n

During the worship services we lifted up these un-named victims and prayed for them.\u00a0 When they receive and use these quilts and afghans, we pray that they will sense that they are surrounded by God’s love even- through difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n

\"Center<\/a>The quilts will be given to the Center for Family Services<\/a><\/span>, for use in their\u00a0 Services Empowering Rights of Victims (SERV) program. The Center for Family Services is headquartered in Camden,\u00a0 and assists families across Southern New Jersey\u00a0 in a variety of ways.<\/p>\n

SERV<\/a><\/span> provides emergency safe housing to female victims of domestic violence and their children while they develop plans to lead violence-free lives.<\/p>\n
