Concert of Carols<\/h3>\n

Our choirs and praise teams will present our 83rd annual Christmas Cantata on Sunday 12\/22 at the traditional time of 4:15 PM.<\/p>\n

The cantata is entitled “Concert of Carols<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

The “Christmas Story”isn’t just a “story.”\u00a0 It is redeeming love come to earth in Jesus Christ our Savior.\u00a0 Over the years, musicians have tried to celebrate and capture this message of God’s saving grace come to earth as a babe.\u00a0 Our church “Candelight Cantata” has been celebrating Christmas in song since 1920.\u00a0 It began in our church as a town musical event, with standing room only crowds in the church on Broadway and Holly Avenues.<\/p>\n

It has continued over the years as we have presented various cantatas, concerts, and oratorios such as Handel’s Messiah.\u00a0 It has been a tradition to end with a candelight recessional to “Silent Night.”<\/p>\n

This year we present a “Concert of Carols” to inspire you, to draw you closer, to know Jesus who came to earth to save us from our sins and provide a way to God.\u00a0 Celebrate with us this night in this 83 year old tradition, as we use music to proclaim, “Joy to the World, the Lord is Come!”<\/p>\n
