Christians across the globe have long observed the first Sunday in October has as “World Communion Sunday.”\u00a0 World Communion Sunday will be celebrated by PUMC THIS Sunday (October 5, 2014).<\/span><\/p>\n

As we celebrate Holy Communion this Sunday, millions of people across the globe will also take part in the Lord’s Supper.\u00a0 This special communion will be observed by many denominations; this isn’t only a United Methodist tradition. We are reminded that Christ died for all people, regardless of nationality.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

A special offering will also be taken during the service. The purpose of the World Communion Offering is to develop leaders in the church by providing scholarships for advanced education.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n
