{"id":36332,"date":"2025-09-05T11:05:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T15:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=36332"},"modified":"2025-11-13T10:27:35","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T15:27:35","slug":"pastors-ponderings-theres-new-work-to-be-done-september-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=36332","title":{"rendered":"Pastor&#8217;s Ponderings:  There&#8217;s New Work to Be Done (September 2025)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The summer of\u00a0 &#8217;25 was filled of times of relaxation along with many activities.\u00a0 But the summer is over and we&#8217;re moving into the Fall- a new season of 2025-2026 ministries.\u00a0 Pastor Mike submitted the following &#8220;ponderings&#8221; in the September 2025 issue of Steeple Notes (PUMC&#8217;s church newsletter) &#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Although January starts a new year in the calendar, many times September is the start of a \u201cnew year\u201d of school and ministry. Each season fills us with hope for new things to come and for a fresh start. A new adventure is right around the corner and we look forward to it.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Holy Spirit and the gospel of Jesus, we have been able to accomplish a lot of ministry this past year, and there is more to come! In all of this, we lead with love.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong><em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">New Work to be DONE<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nMy prayer, and won&#8217;t you join me in this, is that this new season and next year, be filled with people seeking a church who do not have a church. A children&#8217;s program that continues to flourish, but now is expanding. Let us see a way that we can reach out to the young adults in ways that we have not before. Let us cherish our past, but not live in it. Jesus has a new purpose for us everyday and is there for us as we face the challenges now and those to come.<\/p>\n<p>Join me as we start this \u201cnew year\u201d of ministry!
