Yogi, the Our Father’s House “Crossing Guard” in his famous Turkey Hat.<\/p><\/div>\n

On Monday 9\/8, our church’s Preschoool ministry (Our Father’s House) began it’s 6th season.<\/p>\n

Our “crossing guard” Yogi was once again on hand to greet the kids and teacher’s as they arrived.\u00a0 Yogi celebrated his birthday shortly before the school year began, but the kids brought him cards when they arrived at school.\u00a0 The cards may have been a bit late, but how precious they were!<\/p>\n

Each month of the school year will feature a new “verse of the month”,\u00a0 and the school will take on a different mission project each month and put that verse into action.<\/p>\n

September’s verse is from is from I John 3: 23-24<\/p>\n

23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. <\/span><\/p>\n

24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.<\/span>

In order to put that love into action during the month of September, the kids are collecting boxes of cereal which will be donated to the Pitman Food Pantry.\u00a0 We will also participate\u00a0 in the annual CROP Walk<\/a><\/span> which raises money to fight local and world-wide hunger.<\/p>\n
