Pastor Mike published the following thoughts in the May 2025 issue of our church newsletter (Steeple Notes)…<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

It has been a while since I have listened to a chapel service from Eastern University, but with Micah attending, I find myself listening in on their weekly services. Recently, while listening online to Rev. Joe Modica he said to the students,<\/p>\n

“the events that took place on Holy Week are the events that make us Christians and who we are.<\/em>“<\/span><\/p>\n

I find it to be so true, which is why, I am so adamant that Jesus be the focus of us as Christians. Paul would say in Romans 1:16<\/a>,<\/p>\n

“I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of salvation to all that believe<\/span><\/em>!”<\/p>\n

There are some things that we disagree about, but there is one thing that we should all agree upon as Christians, Jesus is Lord!<\/p>\n

\nEaster celebrations are over but the victory of the resurrection lives with us daily. This past month, we have an opportunity to remind ourselves that we are fighting a battle that is already won in Jesus. Jesus has conquered the grave and now as we put our trust in him we know that there is grace already for tomorrow.<\/p>\n

SALVATION through Jesus Christ is nothing to be ashamed about and gives us eternal life. Let us not be ashamed of the name Jesus in a world that needs him so badly. The church cannot solve all the problems of the world, but I know a Savior that can, and his name is JESUS.<\/p>\n
