Pastor Mike published the following thoughts in the February 2025 issue of our church newsletter (Steeple Notes)…<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

God- Where ARE\u00a0 You?!?<\/span><\/h3>\n

How many times have I said, even as a preacher, “God, where are you?” I do not ask God in a disrespectful way but I believe that God gives us the opportunity to ask this question in our faith. My relationship in Jesus has given me the faith to be able to ask such a question while still having the faith that God is in our midst.<\/p>\n

Maybe not in our sight…<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

The popular praise and worship song, \u201cWay Maker<\/a><\/span>” lyrics are \u201ceven when I don’t see it, you\u2019re working<\/span><\/em><\/strong>.\u201d These lyrics are coming from a profound place of faith that I want to find myself in. A place of faith that despite what seems to be, I always know there is a deeper truth that is happening.<\/p>\n

Maybe not in our understanding…<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

In our Wednesday Bible studies we are studying the books Ruth<\/a><\/span> and Esther<\/a>. In both of these books of the Bible God’s name is not mentioned but His presence is always seen. I believe that Jesus is working in a profound way even if I cannot see it right in front of me. Look at Elisha when he prayed that his servant would see “the angel armies” in 2 Kings 6<\/a>, there is an army with us beyond our understanding!<\/p>\n

But Always in Our Hope and Spirit!<\/span><\/h3>\n

Let us not give up hope but know that Jesus is working in a wonderful way and the question is not, Jesus where are you but rather, Jesus let me find you! Jesus has not left us and is working through the Holy Spirit everyday.<\/p>\n

\nI will continue to be reminded through prayer and the disciplines, Jesus is working and I trust that His timing is the best. I will continue to trust in Jesus. Just wait and see \u2013 Jesus is the best movie maker and
\nalways has the best script!<\/p>\n

Instead of frantically asking, “God where are You?”, we can find peace and hope in the truth that \u201ceven when I don’t see it, you\u2019re working” (as it says in the song “Waymaker”). God’s always there. The question is not, Jesus where are you but rather, Jesus let me find you!
