{"id":3379,"date":"2014-09-20T19:26:03","date_gmt":"2014-09-20T23:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=3379"},"modified":"2015-06-02T15:31:39","modified_gmt":"2015-06-02T19:31:39","slug":"pumc-to-make-turbins-for-cancer-patients-92514","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=3379","title":{"rendered":"PUMC to Make Turbans for Cancer Patients (9\/25\/14)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cancer itself is bad enough, but the treatment also frequently brings the indignity of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.org\/treatment\/treatmentsandsideeffects\/physicalsideeffects\/dealingwithsymptomsathome\/caring-for-the-patient-with-cancer-at-home-hair-loss\" target=\"_blank\">hair loss<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Thursday September 25<\/span><\/strong>, a group of ladies are going to do something about this by making turbans for cancer patients.\u00a0 We will meet in the gathering room from <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">9:30 AM to 12:30 PM<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The American Cancer Society makes these available to the patients at no cost.<\/p>\n<p>This has been an ongoing project of the Pitman United Methodist Church for a number of years. If you would like to be a part of this, come and join us. There are no specific skills needed.
