See You in September…<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"Hyacinth2014_1985\"<\/a>Ah yes… remember June? The Spring flowers were in bloom, the days were getting longer, and school and most church activities took a “summer break.”\u00a0 But now that Vacation Bible School, Softball, and Camp Meeting are all but over, it’s time to start looking towards September and the resumption of our “regular” activities.<\/p>\n

Here’s a quick rundown of some of these activities and of when they will resume their regular meetings.\u00a0 As more details on this year’s programs become available, the Pages for each group will be updated and events will be announced in Posts.\u00a0 In other words, “stay tuned” to the website as further information becomes available.<\/p>\n

Our Father\u2019s House:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a>
\nPreparations are already running ahead full steam, but the year will begin with parent’s orientation sessions on Thursday Sept. 4<\/span><\/strong> and Friday Sept. 5.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 The first day of school in Monday, Sept. 8<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s Church:<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span>
\nChildren’s Church will begin on Sunday Sept. 14<\/span><\/strong>. \u00a0\u00a0 It is held during the latter part of the 11:00 AM service each Sunday. There are two groups: 4 year olds through first graders meet in pre-school classroom and the second through fifth graders meet in the Chapel.<\/p>\n

Sunday School:<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span>
\nOur Sunday School program hasn’t totally shut down for the summer, but we’re planning to step things up in September. The first day of the “new season?” will be on Sunday Sept. 14<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 This will also be our\u00a0 Rally Day, and a special program for all ages will be held during Sunday School Hour.<\/p>\n

BLAST (Youth Groups):<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span>
\nOur Youth Groups (“Big Loud Awesome Spiritual Time) will go to the Camden Riversharks (baseball) game on Saturday Sept. 6<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 (leave at 5:35PM).\u00a0 The first Sunday night meeting will be on Sunday September 21<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 It will be a special kick-off meeting with elections, parents’ meeting, and games; a chance for everyone to get to know each other.<\/p>\n

Wendy’s Night:<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOn the fourth Monday of each month,our church kinda takes over the Wendy’s restaurant in Glassboro.\u00a0 From 5-8 PM,\u00a0 Wendy’s will donate a portion of the proceeds to our Youth Group if you mention PUMC when you order.\u00a0 Then you can sit down and enjoy the company of fellow PUMC’ers.\u00a0 The season’s first Wendy’s Night will be on Monday Sept. 28<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Choir Rehearsals:<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>
\nFirst rehearsal will be on Thursday Sept. 18<\/span><\/strong> (7:00 PM). We will sing that Sunday during the 11:00 service and also at the 3PM service of installation<\/a> for Rev. Kwak.<\/p>\n

Bell Choirs:<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>
\nThe first rehearsal for our bell choirs will also be on Thursday Sept. 18<\/span><\/strong>.
\nCherubs (children)-\u00a0 (6:00-6:30 PM)
\nAdults-\u00a0 (6:30-7:15 PM)<\/p>\n

Tuesday Series:<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>
\nThe first Tuesday Series of the new season will be on Tuesday Sept. 16<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 Our “Tuesday Series” is day full of small groups and Bible studies.\u00a0 One group meets in the morning, another group meets in the afternoon, then we all have dinner, and then several other studies meet after the dinner.<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s Fellowship:<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nOur Saturday morning \u201cGatherings\u201d will resume with a special \u201cevening kick-off\u201d on Saturday Sept. 13<\/span><\/strong> at 5:00 PM. Our \u201cGuest Speaker\u201d will be Pastor Jim Bolton. We\u2019ll share some pizza and get to meet with our new pastor. Starting in October, we will gather on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 7:30 AM.<\/p>\n

United Methodist Women:<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span>
\nSeveral events will be held in September as the circles resume their meetings…<\/p>\n
