Praise the Lord!<\/span><\/h3>\n

Make that phrase more than just a cliche…<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We are constantly blessed by the beautiful Stained Glass Windows that line the upper walls of our sanctuary.\u00a0 At ground level, near the staircase, we also have clear windows that let in natural lighting.\u00a0 During the 11:00 service on Sunday Dec. 8, these plain clear windows reminded us of God’s majesty in a way that the Stained Glass windows never could.<\/em><\/p>\n

Parking Lot Wonder (12\/11\/13)<\/p><\/div>\n

About half way through the service, we were treated to a view of the season’s first snowfall.\u00a0 Large flurries were falling down as the accumulation built.\u00a0 Trees began to take on a white coating, even as congregants began to worry about the drive home.<\/em><\/p>\n

But through the Word and the White, we were all reminded of God’s creation.\u00a0 As we praised God with our thoughts, prayer, and music, creation was praising Him through the wonder of snow.<\/em><\/p>\n

Psalm 148 teaches us that everything should be in a constant state of awe and wonder and praise for our almighty Creator; even when we’re not around Stained Glass windows of freshly fallen snow…<\/em><\/p>\n

4 Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.<\/p>\n

5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created.<\/p>\n

6 He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away.<\/p>\n

7 Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,<\/p>\n

8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds<\/strong>, stormy winds that do his bidding,<\/p>\n

9 you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,<\/p>\n

10 wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,<\/p>\n

11 kings of the earth and all nations,you princes and all rulers on earth,<\/p>\n

12 young men and maidens, old men and children.<\/p>\n

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.<\/p>\n

14 He has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his saints,of Israel, the people close to his heart.<\/p>\n
