Advent is a time of reflection.\u00a0 It’s a time to look within so that we can improve our vision without.\u00a0 To look up and see Jesus, we need to look to ourselves and see how God’s offer of salvation has impacted our own lives.\u00a0 This booklet is intended to be a tool which will help you see Jesus by knowing His activity within you.\u00a0 Advent is a chance to prepare.\u00a0 Not only for a date on the calendar, but for a re-awakening of the Spirit within you.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Daily Devotions for Advent 2021<\/span><\/h3>\n

The devotional is presented in PDF format. Instead of presenting the entire booklet in one file (and forcing you to scroll through the whole thing to find the current date’s article), the booklet is broken up into separate week-by-week files.<\/p>\n

To read the article for any given date, scroll down to the week you want and click on the button. All of the files begin with Sunday and run through Saturday of the indicated week (including week 4, which ends on Christmas Day).<\/p>\n

Here’s an introduction to the booklet from the editors of the 2021 Devotionals for Advent…<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We welcome you, our readers and friends, to spend the next 28 days reflecting on the Good News that Jesus Christ is our salvation! We will be reading about His coming as a baby as well as His second coming someday and what it means to us as we grow in faith. On each Sunday, at the bottom of the page, there is a little box with a Scripture verse and a prayer that you can use if you are planning to actively celebrate using candles or an Advent wreath. \"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

In this collection of reflections, you may recognize many of the familiar names of authors from past Advent and Lenten books. These writers come from nine churches and United Methodist Communities at Pitman (formerly Pitman Manor). Our writers are sharing stories from their hearts, and we know many of their messages will resonate with you. <\/span><\/p>\n

We welcome your contribution in the future. If you would like to participate, please email us. We know these past two years have seen many changes, so please share a copy of this book with friends who may have changed their residence or church. <\/span><\/p>\n
