(6\/6\/21)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">When Coronavirus pandemic started gripping us in March 2020, we closed our building and retreated to the friendly distance of Zoom.\u00a0 Our Sunday&#8217;s were turned upside down.\u00a0 Our Live Stream was the only connection to worship on Sunday Morning, and Zoom became our meeting room for Sunday School.\u00a0 Thanks to the vaccine and the plunging case numbers in our area, we have now re-opened our building (<a href=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=27837\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click Here<\/a> to see the announcement).\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">We&#8217;ve been going to Church all along, but now we&#8217;re gradually returning to the church (building).\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The Potter&#8217;s Hand Class <br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>At PUMC, we have a strong tradition for Sunday School&#8230; and that includes the adults!\u00a0 For years, our Adult Sunday School class has been dubbed &#8220;Potter&#8217;s Hand.&#8221;\u00a0 The name comes from many references in the Bible: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<div class='tabs-left et_sliderfx_fade et_sliderauto_false et_sliderauto_speed_4999 et_slidertype_left_tabs clearfix'>\n\t\t\t\t<div class='et_left_tabs_bg'><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<ul class='et-tabs-control'>\n\t\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tIsaiah 29:16\n\t\t<\/a><\/li> \n\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tIsaiah 45:9\n\t\t<\/a><\/li> \n\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tIsaiah 64:8\n\t\t<\/a><\/li> \n\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tJeremiah 18:1-4, 6\n\t\t<\/a><\/li> \n\t\t<li><a href='#'>\n\t\t\tRomans 9:21\n\t\t<\/a><\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul> <!-- .et-tabs-control --> \n\t\t<div class='et-tabs-content'>\n\t\t\t<div class='et-tabs-content-main-wrap'>\n\t\t\t\t<div class='et-tabs-content-wrapper'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\tYou turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, \u201cYou did not make me\u201d? Can the pot say to the potter, \u201cYou know nothing\u201d?\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\t&#8220;Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, \u2018What are you making?\u2019 Does your work say, \u2018The potter has no hands\u2019?\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\tYet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\tThis is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: \u201cGo down to the potter\u2019s house, and there I will give you my message.\u201d So I went down to the potter\u2019s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. He said, \u201cCan I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?\u201d declares the Lord. \u201cLike clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<div class='et_slidecontent'>\n\t\t\tDoes not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div> <!-- .tabs-left -->\n<p>The message is that God is constantly fashioning us into something better. He is in control.\u00a0 He is the Potter and we&#8217;re the clay.\u00a0 When we learn to fully depend on God and to trust Him with our lives, God does something wonderful in us.\u00a0 And so that&#8217;s why we keep studying the Bible.\u00a0 That&#8217;s why we call ourselves the &#8220;Potter&#8217;s Hand&#8221; class.\u00a0 When we open God&#8217;s Word, we open ourselves up to His loving and creative hands.\u00a0 Studying the Bible in a &#8220;Sunday School Class&#8221; isn&#8217;t about head knowledge.\u00a0 It&#8217;s about letting God change us and mold us into people closer to Him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The Potter&#8217;s Hand Room<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When we built our new building in 2007, we designed it with a room for the Sunday School Class, and we named the room the Potter&#8217;s Hand Room.\u00a0 It has a kitchenette, round tables, and a large screen TV\u00a0 (for watching videos).\u00a0 It&#8217;s a useful room with a good size;
