Urban Promise is an organization that’s doing great work with the kids in Camden NJ.\u00a0 We’ve been supporting them, and they have shared their ministry with us on several Sundays.\u00a0 Each year, they have a banquet, but they can’t do that this time because of the pandemic.\u00a0 So, like us, they have found new ways of doing ministry.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

On October 8, they will throw a “virtual banquet” and encourage viewers with testimonies of hope and promise.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Virtual Night of Promise<\/span><\/h3>\n

Here’s how the event is described on the Urban Promise website<\/a><\/span>…<\/p>\n

“In true UrbanPromise tradition, we are not letting hard circumstances dictate how we face the world. Our staff and kids excel at making lemonade our of lemons!<\/span><\/p>\n

In lieu of our in-person annual Banquet, an event that we have all come to love, please join us online for our Virtual Night of Promise on October 8th. You will get to hear from some of our amazing kids and you\u2019ll also hear Dr. Bruce Main share how COVID-19 has impacted us and how we are striving to make great things happen for our kids. All proceeds from the night will support UrbanPromise programs throughout the City of Camden.<\/span>“<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The event is free, but you have to register for “tickets.”\u00a0 In this case, the “ticket” is an emailed Zoom invitation link.\u00a0 During the registration process,\u00a0 you’ll have the opportunity to donate to UrbanPromise’s ministries (and your gift will be matched by the Holman Enterprises).\u00a0 Here are the details:<\/p>\n
