Our purpose statement says that we should “create a climate where spiritual growth occurs.”\u00a0 Our mission is sometimes summed up as “Know, Grow, and Go.”\u00a0 The Conference talks about “making disciples for the transformation of the world.”\u00a0 However you choose to express our mission, the focus is always on Growth; trying new things, learning new things, and (most importantly) developing a deeper spiritual connection so that we can become the hands and feet that God wants us to be.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Spiritual growth comes from prayer, Bible study, and worship.\u00a0 But the knowledge that the Spirit can use in us must also be developed.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Beginning in October, the Greater NJ Conference is offering opportunities to both Laity and Clergy to learn new skills, share best practices, and spur eachother on to good works.\u00a0 The annual Lay Leadership Academy has expanded into a new Leadership Academy.\u00a0 Experts from our Conference will lead a series of online classes between October 2020 and February 2021.\u00a0\u00a0 Each class consists of three 90-minute sessions conducted via Zoom.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here’s the schedule (registration is free, but you have to register at least one week before the class’s first session):<\/p>\n

Four different 3-session courses will be offered in October, November, January, and February.
