Moses confronted Pharaoh and led the Israelites out of slavery.\u00a0 He said God is faithful.\u00a0
\n<\/span><\/em>David defeated a Philistine giant.\u00a0 He said God is faithful.\u00a0
\nPaul survived shipwrecks and mobs.\u00a0 He said God is faithful.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

What about us?\u00a0 As we endure “social distancing” under the prevailing risk of this pandemic, can WE say that “God is faithful”?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

In this latest in a series of “Pastor’s Ponderings” during these difficult days, Pastor Jim wrote the following devotional to remind us that God’s love endures forever, and His faithfulness reaches even to us.\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.<\/p>\n

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div> \n

Psalms 100:5 says,\u00a0\u00a0
\n“For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness\u00a0 continues through all generations.<\/span><\/strong>”\u00a0<\/p>\n

What a beautiful verse to hold on to and memorize so that it becomes part of us!\u00a0 The same God who was with Noah, with Joseph, with Moses, with Miriam, with Joshua, with Deborah, with David, with Esther, with Mary, with Peter, with Paul, and all the Saints throughout\u00a0 Church History, is with YOU and ME!\u00a0 Isn’t that truth just overwhelming?!<\/p>\n

No matter what’s going on in our lives or the world God is the midst of the circumstances and more importantly God is with us!\u00a0 Think about it for a moment: the same God who spoke to Noah and Abraham, the same God who spoke to Esther and Mary speaks to you and me!\u00a0 The same God who journeyed with the people of faith in the Bible (as Hebrews\u00a011<\/a><\/span> and many other passages suggest) journey’s with you and me.\u00a0 Absolutely amazing!<\/p>\n

Sometimes I fear that\u00a0many are becoming spiritually\u00a0drained\u00a0by all that life presents us.\u00a0 Rather than walking tall and strong in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, some allow fear,\u00a0anger, confusion,\u00a0impatience, or pessimism to direct their thinking. Why not trust God in all circumstances, serving Him and making a positive difference in the world, walking in the victorious faith Christ has achieved for us?<\/p>\n

Sisters and Brothers, please consider and reconsider these words:<\/p>\n
