{"id":24534,"date":"2020-05-13T12:20:34","date_gmt":"2020-05-13T16:20:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=24534"},"modified":"2020-05-21T12:01:53","modified_gmt":"2020-05-21T16:01:53","slug":"mothers-day-videos-bring-the-family-together-5-10-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/?p=24534","title":{"rendered":"Mothers Day Videos Bring the Family Together (5\/10\/20)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Mother&#8217;s Day is a time to celebrate family.\u00a0 We start the day with our Church Family, and then we spend the rest of the day with our home family.\u00a0 If we&#8217;re blessed to still have our Moms with us, we take them to dinner.\u00a0 We celebrate with Moms, Grandmoms, Dads, Sisters and Brothers.\u00a0 Celebrating family means that we come together.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">But the 2020 Coronavirus has imposed &#8220;social distancing&#8221; on us.\u00a0 We&#8217;re going to church via Live Stream, talking to friends on the phone, and seeing family on Skype or Zoom.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Mother&#8217;s Day 2020<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>We went to church on Sunday May 12, 2020&#8230;. but the pews were empty.\u00a0 Live Stream lets you worship, but it doesn&#8217;t let you hug.\u00a0 We do love seeing Pastor Jim and the music team on Sundays, but it&#8217;s not the same as seeing our church family. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-24598\" src=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/MomsDay20-Bazzels-_VideoScreenCapture13-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"154\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/MomsDay20-Bazzels-_VideoScreenCapture13-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pitmanumc.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/MomsDay20-Bazzels-_VideoScreenCapture13.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 205px) 100vw, 205px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So, during the Mother&#8217;s Day service, two slideshow videos were shown.\u00a0 The videos remind us of &#8220;simpler times&#8221; when we could all be together.\u00a0 They remind us that we are not alone, and they give us hope for the day when we can all be together again.\u00a0 Using photos provided by our church family and adding music through her own talent, our Music Director, Sue Crispin, spearheaded the creation of the two videos shown below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Joy-Filled Juniors<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Mother&#8217;s Day is about Moms and kids, so our Junior Choir holds a special place in our hearts.\u00a0 On a &#8220;normal&#8221; Mother&#8217;s Day, the choir loft would be filled with Moms and their kids.\u00a0 But in the current &#8220;virtual&#8221; world in which we&#8217;re living, we could only celebrate Mother and Child by looking back at photographs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During the Live Stream service, our &#8220;Virtual Joy-Filled Juniors&#8221; choir sang Jesus Loves Me.\u00a0 Photos of children, both current and past, jogged our memories and warmed our hearts&#8230;<\/p>\n<div class='et-box et-shadow'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class='et-box-content'><p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mother&#039;s Day 2020 \u2013 Joy-Filled Juniors Sing &quot;Jesus Loves Me&quot;
