One of the unique ministries at PUMC is our “Thread and Yarn” groups.\u00a0 We have two groups crafting warm items to be given to anyone who needs them.\u00a0 Hooks and Needles makes items with yarn, and Scrappy Quilters quilts blankets.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

On Generosity Sunday (Sunday November 10, 2019), a collection of their latest creations was dedicated on the altar during our worship service….<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Thread and Yarn Ministries…<\/span><\/h3>\n

Do you know someone who might be comforted by a prayer shawl, a lap blanket, or an afghan?\u00a0 All of these items are available to you at no cost.\u00a0 Help the Hooks and Needles group and the Scrappy Quilters spread God\u2019s love to anyone you know who is experiencing a health problem, loss of a loved one, a family crisis, or simply needs to know that someone cares.\u00a0 Just contact the church office.<\/p>\n

Or perhaps you<\/span><\/strong><\/em> sew, knit, or crochet, or maybe you would like to learn one of these skills.\u00a0 Please come out and join us.\u00a0 The quilters meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 1:00 \u2013 3:00.\u00a0 Hooks and Needles group meets every Monday from 1:00 \u2013 3:00.\u00a0 Both groups meet on the second floor in the education wing and are open to anyone who is interested, whether they attend PUMC or not.\u00a0 Won\u2019t you help us spread God\u2019s love?<\/p>\n
