PUMC is helping to provide a lifetime experience to a group of students from Italy who are visiting the USA on a Summer Exchange program.\u00a0 For the next three weeks, these students will meet in one of our classrooms to learn English as part of a program called “ESL:\u00a0 Thinking Globally.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The programs are sponsored by Greenheart Exchange,\u00a0 a nonprofit organization which helps students from across the globe to visit the USA and to experience our culture and language.\u00a0 What better way to learn a foreign language than to be immersed in it?<\/p>\n
John Wesley has famously been quoted as saying that “The World is my Parish”.\u00a0 In the same way, PUMC wants to make a difference for people across the globe, even if it’s only by offering a meeting space for a few hours during a hot summer day.<\/p>\n
