In a special Mother’s Day celebration, Pastor Jim decided to give us a Sunday without a sermon!\u00a0 Instead, we sang through our list of “Top Ten Hymns”.\u00a0 This list had been compiled via a survey in the bulletin for several weeks.\u00a0 During the survey, a total of 85 contemporary songs and traditional hymns received votes.\u00a0 This post reveals the results…

And the “winners” are in (actually there are many “winners” when it comes to hymns!).\u00a0 Here’s the list…<\/p>\n\n\t\t

The Others<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our hymnal contains a rich heritage of inspirational hymns; songs and words that have changed lives.\u00a0 In addition to the traditional hymns, our family of music also includes a host of Praise Choruses (contemporary songs which aren’t in the “Hymnal”).\u00a0\u00a0 Many of these songs and hymns didn’t get enough votes to reach the “Top Ten” list, but they are nonetheless important to us.\u00a0 In addition to the top ten, 74 songs received votes!\u00a0<\/p>\n

So here they are (in alphabetical order).\u00a0 Maybe some of these will crack the top ten next year!<\/p>\n
