Easter is on the way!\u00a0 We are now in the season of Lent, preparing for that special week when we celebrate the Passion of our Lord.\u00a0 This Holy Week begins with Jesus’ Triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and ends with His resurrection on Easter Sunday.
\n<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Here’s a summary of the events and services that we are holding in celebration of Holy Week…<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Sunday April 14:\u00a0 Palm Sunday\"\"<\/span><\/h4>\n

On this special Sunday, we will hold only one service- at 10:15.\u00a0 The choirs will present a special Palm Sunday Cantata.\u00a0 More\u00a0Info<\/span><\/a> <\/p>\n

Thursday April 18:\u00a0 Maundy Thursday<\/span><\/h4>\n

We will hold a service of worship and dedication at 7:00 PM.<\/p>\n

Friday April 19: Good Friday<\/span><\/h4>\n

We will recognize this day of our Lord’s passion by holding a service of worship in the evening.\u00a0 It will begin at 7:00 PM.<\/p>\n

Saturday April 20:\u00a0 Community Breakfast<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Pitman Council of Churches will hold a special Creation Care Breakfast at the Church of Christ (on Pitman Road; near the gold course).\u00a0 The breakfast will begin at 9:00 AM.\u00a0 For more details, open the below drop down box…<\/p>\n

Creation Care Breakfast<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Creation Care Breakfast will be held on on Easter Eve at the Pitman Road Church of Christ in their Family Life Center, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM.<\/span><\/p>\n

President of Pitman Borough Council, Paul Blass will speak, as well as Dare Euler, Education Commissioner of Pitman Environmental Commission.\u00a0 When does recycling help and when does it hurt? Come and learn more on Saturday, April 20th. God has given us the earth and charged us to take care of it.\u00a0 How are we doing on that front? What can residents of South Jersey do to better care for our environment?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A full breakfast, hosted by the Pitman Council of Churches, will be served. Tickets for adults are $5.00 and for children (ages 3-12) are $3.00.\u00a0 Tickets, which will fund Pitman High School Scholarship Fund,\u00a0can be purchased in advance from the churches, from Mama Marie\u2019s in Pitman, or from the Pitman Jewelry Shop.<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

Saturday April 20:\u00a0 Easter Egg Hunt<\/span><\/h4>\n

Always a highlight for kids of all ages, our Easter Egg hunt will begin at 11:00 AM.\u00a0 It will be an afternoon of games, food, and- of course- lots of eggs!\u00a0 More\u00a0Info<\/span><\/a>

Sunday April 21:\u00a0 Easter Sunday!<\/span><\/h4>\n

We will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord with two services (9:30 and 11:00 AM).<\/p>\n
