<\/p>\nOn Friday January 26, the Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive in our Fellowship Hall from 1:00-6:00 PM.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Walk-ins are welcome, but you can visit the American Red Cross website to schedule a time. \u00a0<\/p>\n
(Scroll down for the link and instructions)…<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The donation changes throughout the day, so please check their schedule to confirm eligibility.\u00a0 During some hours they will collect “blood”.\u00a0 During others, they will collect “Power Red.”\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n Here’s how these are defined (on the Red Cross website):<\/span><\/p>\n For more information (or to register), visit the American Red Cross website:\u00a0\u00a0 Red Cross<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\tIn addition to the knowledge that you’re helping others (and maybe even saving a life!), your donation will also “earn” you a coupon to receive a coffee and donut from Dunkin’ Donuts…\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n\n
\n The most common type of donation, during which approximately a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour. <\/span><\/li>\n
\n A\u00a0Power Red donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These\u00a0donors must meet specific eligibility requirements and have type A Neg, B Neg, or O blood.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
