Members of our BLAST Youth group recently returned from a week at Malaga Camp.\u00a0 The theme of the week was God’s love.\u00a0 How can God send His Son to dies for us and continue to love us even when we keep on rejecting Him and breaking away to do our own thing?<\/p>\n

One of the people attending the camp wrote the following…<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t

“His love makes no sense.”\u00a0\u00a0 \"\"\n <\/span><\/p>\n

I turned to the woman next to me (who later would become a new friend) and cried, \u201cWhy does Jesus love me so much? I don\u2019t deserve it!!!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She said, \u201cBecause that\u2019s just who He is.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n That\u2019s just who God is. That\u2019s just who He is. God is love. <\/span><\/p>\n

God gives love to those who don\u2019t even deserve it, because that\u2019s who He is. He loves no matter who you are, what you\u2019ve done, what you can\u2019t or can do. He loves no matter what job you have, where you\u2019re from, whether you\u2019re Christian or not Christian. <\/span><\/p>\n

God loves\u2026 me.\u00a0\u00a0 God loves\u2026 you.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

God loves because that\u2019s just who He is.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\n

That’s just who He is…<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

The Apostle John put it this way:<\/p>\n

\n

7\u00a0Dear friends, let us practice loving each other, for love comes from God and those who are loving and kind show that they are the children of God, and that they are getting to know him better.\u00a0 But if a person isn\u2019t loving and kind, it shows that he doesn\u2019t know God\u2014for God is love.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

9\u00a0God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into this wicked world to bring to us eternal life through his death.\u00a0 In this act we see what real love is: it is not our love for God but his love for us when he sent his Son to satisfy God\u2019s anger against our sins.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
