Hosea 1:2<\/span><\/h5>\n

When the Lord first began speaking to Israel through Hosea, he said to him, “Go and marry a prostitute, so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a prostitute by turning against the Lord and worshiping other gods.”<\/p>\n

Hosea 3:1<\/span><\/h5>\n

Then the Lord said to me, “Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover.\u00a0\u00a0 This will illustrate that the Lord still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.”<\/p>\n

Hosea 11:1-4<\/span><\/h5>\n

1 “When Israel was a child, I loved him,\u00a0 and I called my son out of Egypt.<\/p>\n

\n 2 But the more I called to him,\u00a0 the farther he moved from me,\u00a0 offering sacrifices to the images of Baal\n and burning incense to idols.<\/p>\n

\n 3 I myself taught Israel how to walk,\u00a0 leading him along by the hand. But he doesn’t know or even care\n that it was I who took care of him.<\/p>\n

\n 4 I led Israel along\u00a0 with my ropes of kindness and love.\u00a0 I lifted the yoke from his neck,\u00a0 and I myself stooped to feed him.<\/p>\n
