On January 15, 2017, BLAST returned from our annual youth retreat, MidWinter Advance (MWA) at America\u2019s Keswick in Whiting, New Jersey. Our group was made up of twenty-five youth, young adults, and leaders.\u00a0 The retreat that was filled with fun, fellowship, and faith.<\/p>\n

The four-part message, led by the college team, focused on Proverbs 3:5-6,<\/p>\n

\u201cTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your path.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Friday…<\/span><\/h3>\n

On Friday night, after worshiping through praise music together, the group listened to our speaker, Ian, as he challenged us with the question, \u201cWhere is your trust? Is it with your Heavenly Father?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\"\"\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Saturday…\"\"<\/span><\/h3>\n

We woke up with excitement the next morning, and after a yummy breakfast provided by Keswick, we were encouraged by Ian to lean not on our own understanding, but to reject the foolishness of this world.<\/p>\n

We spent the rest of the afternoon attending encouraging and missional seminars, competing in volleyball and soccer tournaments, swimming in the activity center\u2019s pool, and performing skits for MWA\u2019s talent show, The Happening.<\/p>\n

Saturday night concluded with the group, along with nine other churches, listening to Ian share with us the message of the unconditional love we can experience when we trust in the Gospel with our whole heart, as Ian beautifully illustrated through the book of Hosea.<\/p>\n

After we packed up the van, Ian left us with one final encouraging message. As we headed home, we held in our hearts that God would make straight our paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
